For a Victorian Government Funded training place, all potential students must complete the necessary formal documentation to ensure all eligibility requirements are met. All students are now required to hold a Unique Student Identification (USI) number as of 01/01/2015 prior to course enrolment. You can do this via the USI website linked here. Please make sure you bring a copy of your number at time of enrolment.
At this time of the enrolment process, relevant course fees and charges must be paid and all potential students must bring the required 100 points of formal identification. ( If you are unsure of the required identification, please call our office on 1300 884 133)
Concession and Health Care Card Holders
If you hold a concession or health care card, you are able to receive your course at a reduced cost. This is a reduction in your tuition fees; it does not change the cost of materials. Course fees are listed on the individual course information pages.
Recognition of Prior Learning and Credit Transfer
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) involves a formal recognition of the skills and knowledge students have already achieved through previous studies, work and life experiences. If you think that you may be able to receive a full or partial qualification through RPL, then read please contact us on 1300 884 133 and we can supply you with the RPL documentation.
Credit Transfer (CT) is the transfer of units from one qualification over to another. To be applicable, the units for both qualifications must have the same unit code. The Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) facilitates the progression of students through qualifications by giving credit for learning outcomes they already have achieved. Credit outcomes may allow for entry into a qualification and/or provide credit towards the qualification. Credit given may reduce the time required for a student to achieve a qualification. CT provides a means for students to gain credit in an AQF qualification on the basis of completed components of another AQF qualification or other formal learning.
If you would like more information on either Recognition of Prior Learning or Credit Transfers. Please download and read through the individual explanations for each on the AQF website here: http://www.aqf.edu.au/aqf/in-detail/aqf-explanations/
