Hear from FYI students on their advice to other students thinking about enrolling:

“I would recommend just to do it. I have done something to be proud of. I came from overseas and this is something for me that I have achieved for myself. It is a good industry to work in if you want to help and interact with people.” Irena, Student.

“Give it a go. Nothing is too hard these days. Most of my course was through zoom and yeah there was times where it was challenging… but you still get through it.” Silvana, Student.

“My advice to other students if you’re passionate it just do it may seem like it’s a lot of work but getting the practice in writing your observation in your assessments and learning from the trainers that have experience in the industry just soak it all in and get as much as you can out of that they’re there to help you. I did just want to add. With me having dyslexia gives a lot of anxiety when it comes to study school kind of environments. I never really liked school because it was never really a strong point for me because of the fact that I severely struggled with reading, so when it came to deciding what I wanted to actually study outside of school for my career, choosing childcare and knowing the study and the learning and the paperwork that came with it really stressed me out and honestly I didn’t think I would get through it, but having the support of FYI, Marie and Andrea helped me get through it because they knew that I could and any struggles they helped and supported me. Now because of the support I’ve got I am going back to do my diploma which again never thought would happen but it is.” Ash, Student.
