Feel more motivated with a walk, the impact straight from our students #virtualclass #selfcare

Our recent article on self-care 101 for students outlined some tips for self-care.

Checking in with our students is important and we love to see our trainers take initiative and check in with their students.

Andrea one of our Early Childhood Education & Care trainers checked in with her students last week on R U OK Day on all the topics in the self-care blog.

We are so inspired to see that she decided to take the class on a short walk to move - which had a huge impact on the students mood and motivation!

Hear how a few of the students felt about their day:

“Today was really great. If I wasn't OK I would have definitely been OK this afternoon.  Thank you for taking the time and energy to do that. I love quotes and have a calendar of quotes that I flip over daily, it definitely helps to start the day off in a positive way.”

Melanie - Student

“After today's lesson I felt happy and awake. It was good to go on a walk. It helped me concentrate longer when we were doing work.”

- Charlotte - Student

“Hi Andrea! I felt so good and woken and motivated after the class- mainly from the walk, and i did get a response from the person which was good to hear :).'“

Laura - Student

“It felt really nice reaching out to my friend and her reply was so sweet. It was great sharing funny videos among us and pampering ourselves by eating healthy and out for a walk... made me forget about everything around me . I felt I discovered myself a little more today ☺️You make things interesting Andrea!”

Sonam - Student

Hear from Andrea:

“It was really nice to see the students let the guard down and open up but also seeing how the students supported each other throughout the day. It was nice to have a laugh with them. It was great that they had reached out to their loved ones that they have not heard from in so long, the anticipation for their response but hearing from them was heart-warming.”

Andrea - Trainer Early Childhood Education & Care

Implementing self care in small ways is better than no ways. We love seeing this especially during challenging times during lockdowns and remote lifestyles. We know times can be challenging and we believe in all our community that if we work together we can support each other.

If you are inspired, take yourself outside and that short walk might just do wonders for you too
